ATHLETIC dreams are set to be fulfilled after the people of Greenwich were given the chance to nominate themselves to carry the Commonwealth Games Baton.
The Queen's Jubilee Baton Relay will travel across 20 Commonwealth countries before arriving in Manchester on July 25, next year, in a similar way to the Olympic Torch.
The baton will be carried by more than 5,000 individuals during its journey across the UK, with each runner carrying it 100 yards.
Applications to be a jubilee runner can be made on the Games website on www.commonwealthgames.com
