A CHELSFIELD teenager has reached the final of a national contest to find an up-and-coming television presenter.
Kathleen Baker, 19, was entered into the Auctionworld competition in The Sun newspaper by her mother Margaret, who knew of her driving ambition to work in television.
The former Priory Secondary School pupil went for an audition and beat thousands of other girls to make it to the final 12, who were whittled down to six after voting on the Sun website and over the phone.
The final six will audition live on the Auctionworld television channel tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm.
Kathleen, of Derry Downs, said: "I'm really shocked at how well I've done. The guy phoned and said I hadn't got through and I was fine about it but then he said he was only joking.
"I'm quite scared about being on TV, but apparently it's easier than the first audition."
