Leyton Res2
Witham Town0WITH no fixture for two weeks Leyton decided to field virtually a full strength first team in their home reserve team match with Witham Town on Saturday.
Whilst the visitors' side was mainly made up of youngsters they proved a difficult outfit for the Lilywhites to break down and make their superior brand of football count.
And it wasn't until the 43rd minute that Leyton got onto the scoresheet thanks to Mark Sophocleous.
After picking the ball up thirty yards out on the left he jinked through the Witham defence before firing home past the keeper.
The second half turned into a bit of a non event, with the match appearing to be used more as a training exercise and it wasn't until the 69th minute that the Lilywhites wrapped up the win.
Intercepting the ball wide on the left, Eusebe out-paced the defence to the by-line, before unleashing a perfectly waited pass to Costelleo, who had the simple task of tapping the ball home.
