(London League Two North)WHILE Bishop's Stortford led throughout the majority of the match, the fact that it was only by a single penalty proved to be their undoing.
Despite taking a three-point lead in the early stages the home side found Woodford a hard nut to crack.
And while the visitors enjoyed the majority of the possession in the first half, both defences were playing at the top of their game in this very evenly matched contest.
Woodford continued to dominate after the break but were again finding it hard to get on the score sheet, and it was two illegal infringements that gave them the opportunity to do so.
With two long-range penalties from fly-half Eacott finding their target the visitors grabbed a 3-6 lead.
Now in front, Woodford continued to press forward and their quality possession culminated in a period of firm pressure.
With the forwards recycling the ball well across the pitch, good support play and some swift well timed passes eventually saw the ball find its way to right winger Goude.
And with a rare gap emerging in the Stortford defence he was able to grab a try under the posts.
The resulting kick was easily converted by Eacott to give Woodford a very deserved victory.
