A GOOD Samaritan saved me from what could have been a very embarrassing situation on Friday. I would like to thank him.
I popped out to the back yard of my office in Enfield Town for a cigarette break. When I finished, I tried to open the door to get back in. Unfortunately, it was stuck. There was no handle on the door and I was at a loss to know what to do.
Quick thinking led me to the back gate leading to the alley. At the end of the alley, through an iron gate, I saw a man coming out of a coffee shop. I told him what had happened. "Don't worry, wait there, I'll quickly deliver these sandwiches and then I'll go round the front of your office to let someone know".
And that's exactly what he did.
