Old Palace School pupil, Gaganjeet Suri's work will soon be published in the Guardian after she was chosen as the overall winner in our photography competition.

Miss Suri's excellent Food Glorious Food photograph has won her the chance to go out on an assignment with Guardian photographer John Nunn.

After taking photographs, she will download her snaps onto computer and lay out the best one on one of our pages.

The competition winner was chosen on November 26 and judges included Guardian staff member Linda Kirby, photographer John Nunn and five Old Palace school teachers.

The first prize winners are Catherine Langley for her Eiffel Tower entered in the seven to 10 age group, Krina Patel for Peppers entered in the 11 to 14 age group and Rekha Chandra Babu whose Lloyds building won the 15 to 18 age group.

Runners-up include Hannah Winn, Lily Hair, Shirina Nathwani, Georgina Shaw, Reema Qureshi, Sairah Ahmed, Siobhan Payne, Kaya John, Julia Farley and Alaine Nesbitt.

The collection of photographs created by Old Palace School pupils is on public display at Purley Pools in Purley High Street.
