Two Croydon schools have performed a great three-night run of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
The Trinity boys teamed up with Old Palace Girls on November 28 to 30 to perform the famous medieval poem.
In this adaptation, directed by Trinity's head of drama Eric Jones, four alchemists who have apparently survived from 1397 hope to bring Chaucer back from his 600 year sleep by performing his stories while the poet sits in the audience barely alive.
It took the cast nine weeks to progress from audition stage to opening night but their preparations certainly paid off.
