As Christmas draws near, many employees start wondering what Christmas bonus lies in store for them but with a possible recession around the corner, some bosses might like to consider alternatives to cash.
A recent survey by telephone company One.Tel, completed by a cross-section of London workers aged between 20-50, highlights the top five alternative Christmas gifts that bosses might like to give instead of the traditional financial bonus.
Below is the results of the survey listing the most poular and least popular responses.
MOST POPULAR
1 Free taxi rides from the Christmas party or to work the next morning.
2 Massages at work (to help recuperate after a big night out).
3 A Christmas Hamper.
4 Bottle of Champagne.
5 A Duvet Day (to sleep off the Christmas party).
LEAST POPULAR
1 Cheap chocolates.
2 Anything with corporate branding.
3 An IOU for next year's bonus.
4 Share options.
5 Only paying for pre-dinner drinks at the Christmas party.
