A housing development on the former site of Addiscombe station, which will create 65 new homes was approved by Croydon Council last week.
Croydon's development control committee gave Bellway Homes the go-ahead to start building on the 3.16 acre site, at a town hall meeting on Thursday, December 6.
Bellway plan to build 19 three-bed and 10 four-bed terrace houses, alongside three blocks of flats, providing 36 new homes of one, two, and three bed flats.
The council also agreed to move a bus stop and pedestrian crossing, and allowed Bellway, praised at the meeting for their thorough consultation with residents, to create a drive-way into Lower Addiscombe Road.
