IT could have been classed as a spring clean if the weather was not so cold, but residents of a Gravesham housing estate had a good clear-up anyway.
Preparing the play areas for improvements, residents at Wallis Park Estate braved chilly temperatures with staff from Gravesham Borough Council, the Community Voluntary Services and Groundwork.
They swept away litter and leaves, tidying up a playground which will receive a face-lift in the new year.
Using Barclays SiteSavers funding, the existing basketball area will be transformed into a multi-purpose ball court with nets for basketball, five-a-side football and street hockey.
