(English Clubs Championship, London League One)HARLOW put last weekend's heavy defeat behind them to secure an impressive win against Staines on Saturday.
Despite controlling the game from the start Harlow soon found themselves behind to a Staines penalty.
But following a series of penalties in the visitors' 22 the Rams took a line out five metres from the try line and Lee Harron found a gap to put the home side in front.
Harlow continued to create chances and controlled the possession, but could not increase their 5-3 lead before half-time.
The Rams carried on where they had left off after the break, but despite pressurising the Staines line throughout the early stages another Harron penalty came after a rare visit into Harlow's half.
This spurred Harron and his men to greater efforts and the Rams skipper scored his second try from a quickly taken tap penalty from ten metres out.
In the last minute a Staines winger was punished for trying to run the ball out of his own 22 and after dispossessing him hooker Tommy Johnson took full advantage to score his first try for the league team and cap a great performance.
Harlow travel to Gloucestershire on Saturday to play Old Richians in the Intermediate Cup.
HARLOW: Paul Ansell, Johnson, Prindiville (Sub: Ephgrave 65min) Grover, Scott, Bishop, Snow, Keeling, Harron, Loveday, Smith, Coyne, Morgan, McMullen, Howard.
