Budding entrepreneurs from all over the county picked up some top tips on kick-starting burgeoning companies in a Business Link Surrey event, last month.
Organised in conjunction with the Royal Holloway College, the Fast Track event laid out the range of Business Link services on offer to start-up companies.
The Link's business development manager Sally Goodsell outlined its Fast Track scheme, which includes advice on business plans, IT, financial projections, marketing, finding accom- modation and introductions to venture capitalists.
She was joined on the platform by David Springall, a former Royal Holloway student and young entrepreneur who had been through the process with his firm Yospace, a now successful hi-tech company.
He said: "It's a risky time for new investment at the moment. Persevere we went to 50 venture capital meetings. If you are new to fundraising, seek advice. Business Link Surrey is one organisation to go to."
The college's head of research and enterprise Dr Ben Ferrari spoke about the closer links it was forging with the worlds of commerce and the range of services it offers itself. Call Sally Goodsell on 07748 115415.
