Fulham travel across the cap-ital to play Tottenham tomorrow, determined to build on their battling display at Premiership leaders Liverpool on Wednesday night.

The Whites shared the points in a goalless draw at Anfield, just four days after taking all three points from Everton at Craven Cottage.

Fulham will be looking for revenge at White Hart Lane tomorrow, as Glenn Hoddle's Tottenham are the only side to have beaten Jean Tigana's team in their last nine league and cup games.

A late Simon Davies effort in last month's meeting between the teams condemned Fulham to a 2-1 home defeat in the fourth round of the Worthington cup.

Pleased

Fulham, currently ninth in the Premiership, are just one place and one point behind Spurs in the table and a top 10 finish to the season is on the cards if they can produce the kind of display that frustrated the Anfield faithful.

Former Everton player John Collins was pleased Fulham ground out a result and says the team are getting more ambitious.

"The first thing is to make sure we stay in this league, but I think everyone knows we have set our sight's a little higher than that," said Collins.

"Maybe after tonight people will start to believe it.

"With a little bit more luck in front of goal we might have even sneaked it at the end."

But Jean Tigana's side also rode their luck at times and Dutch international keeper Edwin Van der Sar had to be in inspirational form to keep the title-challengers out.

The former Juventus player saved well from Danny Murphy and was called upon twice to keep out Steven Gerrard.

When van der Sar was beaten the post came to his rescue Gerrard again the unlucky man.

But Collins believes the result shows that Fulham have come a long way since last season's First Division championship win.

"It was a hard fought game," he said.

"We worked for each other and rode our luck a little at the end of the first half.

"Liverpool are a great side and to come away with a point is a very good result for us."

l Fulham have confirmed they will be appealing to the FA this week over the sending off of Louis Boa Morte in Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton.

The Portuguese winger was shown the red card after a challenge with Toffees de-fender David Weir, who was also given his marching orders by the referee.

Meanwhile, Fulham's third-choice goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann has joined Second Division Reading on a one month loan.

The American stopper had a similar spell at Rochdale earlier in the season.
