Us assistant manager Tony Rains says that despite poor results, there are many good things about his side's game.
Although we were disappointed not to have taken maximum points in last Saturday's home Ryman League match against Bedford, I felt there were lots of encouraging signs that came out of the game.
I feel our season has been riddled with individual errors which have cost us many points and Saturday was no exception.
Despite the goals conceeded, we were generally very pleased with a lot of our game, particularly as we fielded a young and inexperienced team.
I would like to add that this was mostly by choice and we will continue to involve players who have earned their opportunity in the first team.
As I indicated last week, we could no longer put up with mediocre performances and I hope this will show poor performances will not be tolerated.
With respect to the game I thought we competed better than of late and showed more appetite. We tried to pass the ball and build from the back and had good success on many occasions.
I was delighted at the way we responded after twice falling behind and felt we dominated long periods of the game.
Tomorrow we must build on that at home to Braintree and continue in last week's fashion.
With younger players in the side we have to be patient and encourage them to attempt to do the right things. With that will come the consistency to enable us to improve our league position.
CANNONS HEALTH CHECK
Danny Brooker has again been using Cannons Health Club facilities in order to maintain his fitness while recovering from a hamstring injury.
Hopefully, Danny will play a reserve game prior to Christmas and be available over the festive season.
