Harry Potter may be saving the world from the Dark Lord Voldemort, but Jimmy Tibbs has an even bigger task to save Christmas.
His fantastic story is told in The Night Before Christmas, now on at the Polka Theatre For Children in Wimbledon.
For Jimmy, it does not feel like Christmas Eve. His grandparents are behaving strangely and there is frost everywhere even inside the house.
And worse, it does not look like Father Christmas will be coming down any chimneys this year.
Strange
Just when he thinks things cannot get any worse , Jimmy discovers a strange woman in his garden speaking a dozen languages.
The Night Before Christmas sees Jimmy, together with his two friends, caught up in a mission to save Christmas.
Guided only by his wits and the clues from a poem which his father once told him, in the course of a magical sleigh ride the secrets of Christmas are revealed.
Set in wartime London, this is no ordinary Christmas show. The Night Before Christmas is a mystery, a comic adventure and above all a tale of the spirit of Christmas which can warm the coldest heart.
q The Night Before Christmas is suitable for children aged six and over and is on at the Polka Theatre until February 2.
