I AM one of your readers who wrote last Christmas with much criticism of the council for its complete lack of Christmas spirit in Chingford. Therefore, I have to say what a difference a year makes, with all the Christmas lights, it looks so cheerful now.

I thought we were the forgotten borough and I would have to visit Loughton High Road again, where there is always a lovely display every year.

So thank you, Waltham Forest Council. Keep up the good work.
