I FEEL compelled to write to you as I still cannot believe how callous some thieves can be.
Our nan sadly passed away some months ago, aged 93, after spending her last five years at Highams Court nursing home, Chingford.
My mum and her sister bought a stone sundial with a specially engraved plaque as a memorial to be sited in the garden of the nursing home.
On what would have been Nan's 94th birthday, we held a small ceremony with family and great grandchildren present, and erected and fixed the heavy sundial.
Eight days later we received a call to say it had been stolen. I only hope that these heartless thieves realise the hurt and upset they have caused my family but my Nan will always be in our memories.
