Menzies Chartered Accountants last held its annual charity quiz last week to raise more than £2,500 for the Kingston Hospital cancer unit appeal.
There were 44 teams of four at the event on Wednesday, December 5, and the bar bill for the evening helped push up the money raised.
This is the ninth time the company has held the event and has previously raised money for local charities such as Merton Carers and a nursing home in Thames Ditton.
Alan Skinner, partner at the firm and member of the fund raising committee for the hospital appeal, said: We think we have raised in excess of £2,500 which is more than we have ever raised before. We always do the quiz for local charities.
A raffle was also held to raise yet more money and staff from the firm were on hand to help run the quiz, which was presided over by senior manager Alan Jordan.
