My wish is that God can come down from heaven was one of 241 wishes contained in a colourful display by St Matthews pupils.
The 2002 wish list for the world, unveiled this week, was produced by the Surbiton primary school youngsters as part of their end of year project.
Each of the children came up with their own wish for the world, which are expressed in a wonderful display in the foyer of the school.
Wishes included I wish I could meet Noddy, I wish I lived in a sweet shop, and I wish that Fiona my cousin is all right in heaven. The display will be on view for visitors at the schools open morning on Friday January 11.
