UXBRIDGE Magistrates' Court has survived a consultation which has led to the closure or merger of other courts across London.
The Greater London Magistrates' Court Authority (GLMCA) announced the results of a review of how magistrates' courts are run on Thursday last week.
The Uxbridge court, in Uxbridge Road, Harefield was one of many waiting to see how it fared in the GLMCA's drive to set up larger courts serving wider regions.
Proposals are due to be finalised after consultations with the court and other official organisations such as the police and local authorities.
A final decision is due to be made in Spring next year.
