"Rail-hopping" commuters who park near Tube stations in the borough could be forced to park elsewhere after Barnet Council proposed three new Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) last week.
Councillors have given the thumbs up for detailed schemes to be drawn up for roads surrounding Mill Hill East station, Hendon Central station including Brent Street shopping area and The Burroughs and roads around Brent Cross station. The council will distribute questionnaires to residents and businesses and if the CPZs are approved controls will be carried out on an experimental basis.
