London Broncos star Dennis Moran has come through his minor knee surgery, writes Gordon Law.
Word has it that the feisty young half is jumping out of his skin ahead of the January training camp in Australia.
He underwent keyhole surgery to repair a troublesome knee injury which constantly flared up during last season.
This operation was performed by one of Australia's leading knee specialists a couple of weeks ago and it went well.
Despite this nagging injury, Moran maintained a very high level of form during the season, altough it was a little known fact that Moran was unable to train every six weeks when his knee became 'locked'.
The measure of Dennis' toughness was in his ability to get on the field for game day.
Observant eyes will have noticed that, periodically, he was replaced before the end of a game, which is quite unusual for a key playmaker.
Hopefully, with the right rehabilitation, this course of action will no longer be needed in the forthcoming season.
Meanwhile, assistant coach Damian McGrath has left the Broncos to take up a position with England Rugby Union.
