THERE was some high-scoring in the latest round of games in the Mayor's Cup, run in conjunction with Mllwall's Community Scheme.

In the girls' five-a-side tournament played at St Dunstan's College, Prendergast were in tremendous form. First they slammed Malory 7-1 with Sarpong netting four and Hilton three.

They followed that by beating Bonus Pastor 5-1 when Sarpong again scored four times and Hilton notching the other one. And when the teams played aain it was more of the same with Prendergast hitting seven without reply when the irrepressible scoring five and Hilton two in a 7-0 win.

Malory bounced back from their drubbing to stick five past Bonus Pastor when a Newbound hat-trick and Pearce with two were the scorers.

In the boy's competition, played at Ladywell Arena, Sedgehill thrashed Bonus Pastor, with Ogunkoya netting a hat-trick, plus one apiece from Deckers, Parsons and Rich being on the scoresheet in a 6-1 win. Johnson was the lone scorer for Bonus Pastor.

Matches resume after Christmas.
