PHONE MAST: A mobile phone company has applied to Dartford Borough Council to see if prior approval is required for the erection of a 15m-high monopole housing two antennae, two dish antennae, an equipment cabin, and a 1.8m-high chain link fence, at the Old Mill Equestrian Centre, Clement Street, Sutton-at-Hone. The application was made by Hutchinson 3G UK Ltd.

COMPUTER COURSE: Disabled people can join a free course on basic computer skills, as well as customer care and information work. The course, by Kent Information Federation, starts in January. WIN A CAR: Friday is the last opportunity for people to buy a raffle ticket and win a new car. The raffle, set up by the traders in the Broadway Shopping Centre, will raise cash for Malcolm Sargent House in North Cray which provides support for teenagers with cancer. The tickets are on sale in the centre at £1 each.

LIBRARY ONLINE: Bexley's library service is to get £370,000 from the New Opportunities fund to install computer facilities in all its libraries. It will pay for 137 computers across 13 libraries which will be connected to the Internet by December next year.

CENTRE CLOSED: Bexley Deaf Centre closes for Christmas this Friday at 4pm and will reopen at 10am on January 3. For emergencies only, call Queen Mary's hospital, Sidcup. The job club for deaf and hard of hearing is closed until January 11.
