Former Shadow Home Secretary and Tory MP Ann Widdecombe was the guest of honour at Beths Grammar School's annual prizegiving.
The school has been celebrating its success as the top ranking school in Bexley in this year's GCSE results and two of its students achieved the highest point scores for GCSEs in the borough.
Miss Widdecombe is pictured with headteacher Jenny Payne, chairman of governors David Blake, and some of the school's top students.
