ADULTS with learning difficulties are set to receive the help and support they need following the launch of a new organisation.
Speak Out In Hounslow has been established to provide a voice to residents with educational disabilities and ensure that their needs do not go unrecognised.
Its offices, located in School Road, are run by a committee, some of whom have learning difficulties who support people to get the skills they need to speak up.
Co-ordinator Jo Craig said: "Speak Out In Hounslow is needed because locally there are no other organisations supporting the development of independent advocacy and self advocacy.
"It's estimated that there are between 450 and 600 people with a learning disability in Hounslow, so that's a lot who need a voice. "
