Fancy some really good live music this Christmas? Then get down to the Worcester Park Club where the second greatest rock and roll band in the world are playing, writes Gareth Foreman.

The Rollin' Stoned were formed in 1998 by Bryon Jones who had already made his name with another Stones tribute band, named The Counterfeit Stones.

Bryon left the Counterfeits citing musical differences as the reason for the split.

"I had become disillusioned with their lack of enthusiasm and real feeling for the Stones music," said Bryon.

"Set lists then only included the basic numbers and I was told there was no room for songs like Midnight Rambler."

Now The Rollin' Stoned play all the group's big hits, and chuck in loads of album tracks as well. There are numbers the Stones don't even play live, like Sway from Sticky Fingers or Love in Vain from Let It Bleed.

The band spent six months rehearsing together before they even contemplated going out on the road.

"It was absolutely essential every member of the band was perfect if we were to become the best in the business," said Bryon.

"They are all brilliant musicians as well as Stones fans.

They are so different from the Counterfeits I could not be happier with this band."

The hard work has now paid off with The Rollin' Stoned being one of the biggest acts on the tribute circuit. They have won praise from Keith Richard's daughter Angela, and his mum Doris.

But don't just take my word for it, get down to The Worcester Park Club on Thursday,
