After the unprecedented success of the London Mozart Players' New Year's Day concert at the Fairfield Halls last year, the orchestra will return on January 1 with Alasdair Malloy's specially-devised extravaganza, It's About Time.
Malloy is well-known throughout Britian as an extraordinary musician of many talents he is a percussionist with the BBC Concert Orchestra, a world expert on the glass harmonica and a creator of school and family concerts which he exuberantly presents with the help of a few props, unusual instruments and lots of audience participation.
And just in case it all becomes a little too much for the youngest in the audience, there is a free playroom next to the concert which is available for accompanied children.
