PHONE MAST: A mobile phone company has made a planning application to Dartford Borough Council to see whether prior approval is required to put up a 15m high mobile phone mast with three panel antennae and a dish antennae, and an equipment cabin, at Stone pumping station, St Mary's Road, Stone. The application was made by Hutchinson 3G.
WITNESS SERVICE: Help is needed with the Witness Service for people appearing at Dartford Magistrates' Court. Volunteers would need to be available one day a week to help guide witnesses through the court process. All travelling expenses are paid and training given. PARTY TIME: The mayor and mayoress of Dartford, Tom and Valerie Maddison, attended the mayor's annual Christmas party, for children from the borough, nominated by clubs, infant and junior schools. The event took place at the Fleetdown Community Centre, Swaledale Road, Dartford, last Sunday.
FAIRY TALE: A manager for Dartford Borough Council raised £138 for Homeless International Charity by dressing up as a fairy. Andrew Palmer swapped his suit for a wig, wand, hobgoblin boots and a rather red face to parade outside Dartford civic centre.
