Collingwood members took part in the third race of the Surrey Cross Country League Division III, which was combined with the Division II fixture and held in Lloyd Park, Croydon, on Saturday.

The size of the field meant team members were unaware they had actually finished as second team in Division III on the day.

Andy Flett led home in seventh overall, but fourth Division III, in a time of 30:16. Paul Stevens was next, overcoming turning his ankle on the first climb and having to stop running for about a minute, finished strongly in 32:20.

Dan Gillett produces a strong performance with a 33:30 finish, and Martin Lloyd was next in 33:41.

Keith Dunning continued his assault on the Club Handicap Cup finishing in 34:13; Jess Strong finished in 35:18; Ben Cady had a storming run to finish in 35:29; Rob Mothersole produced a strong performance as he finished in 35:37.
