CHART-TOPPING pop sensation Hear'Say entertained 1,000 youngsters during a concert at Kidbrooke School.
Some of the children got the chance to see the band, who shot to fame with single Pure and Simple after winning ITV's Popstars programme, as a reward for their hard work at the school in Corelli Road, Kidbrooke.
The school set challening targets for all of its students this term and 500 who made the most effort were chosen to attend.
Band member Kym Marsh said: "It's really important for children to realise learning can be fun."
Headteacher Trisha Jaffe said: "It was fantastic for the kids to have the opportunity to see Hear'Say, to be so close to them, and to get autographs.
"The band is pleased to be part of a campaign focused on young people's achievements and positive contributions, and Kidbrooke is delighted to be part of the project."
Other members of the audience had won their tickets in a News Shopper competition.
The show was the band's first since the launch of their second album, called Everybody. They performed their smash hit as well as new material.
