ONE of English Taekwondo Schools' star pupils was in top form at the West Midlands Championships held in the Cheltenham Leisure Centre, which attracted more than 400 competitors.
Kylie Johncock, from Catford, won a gold medal in the black-belt sparring competition.
Team-mate Matthew Johnson, from Bromley, took home a bronze in the black-belt sparring, while Rianna Nash won double gold in the sparring and patterns.
Kurt Johnson emulated Rianna, while Mozahid Ali won gold and bronze in the same two categories.
To round off a great day for the club, Mark Fenton won a silver and bronze in the patterns and sparring respectively.

Bendings attain the highest level
TWO members of the Knights Karate Club, which has training schools in Bromley and South Norwood, are celebrating after receiving high-class awards.
At a shotokan karate grading session, Jamie Bending, who is 12 and lives in Orpington, and his 11-year-old sister Amy, from Bromley, were both awarded their 1st level black belts.
Meanwhile, another member of the club, Orpington's Aruinder Nandra, attained the second level of black belt status.
Knights Karate Club holds training sessions on Thursday evening and Sunday mornings and takes people from the age of six, including adults and complete beginners.
