Tony Samspon was appointed the new manager of Dartford Football Club last week following the depature of Gary Julians.
Sampson is no stranger to Darts' fan, having played 225 games for the club before he went into football management with Herne Bay.
His most recent job was with Boreham Wood, and prior to that he had a short spell at Ashford and Deal Town. It was with Deal that Sampson enjoyed teremendous success as he steered the team to Wembley and victory in the FA Vase 18 months ago.
Darts director Steve Irving said: "We're delighted to give Tommy a chance to show what he can do.
"It was a tough decision to make as we had three strong applicants, all of whom came direct to us."
