I am writing regarding cars parking across dropped kerbs.
A few weeks ago, a lady in a wheelchair was unable to use the dropped kerb where I live because a car was parked across it.
The lady had to reverse the wheelchair back the way she had come to cross the road. Fortunately she was able to do this without mishap.
Just a few days ago, an elderly lady faced the same problem. The lady's attendant had to help her around the cul-de-sac to continue in the direction they wished to proceed.
The council informed me it is up to the public to have consideration and not inhibit the chairbound or mothers with pushchairs.
I think we should always consider the less fortunate.
