In response to A Shepherd's letter, in November 28 issue, regarding irresponsible dog owners, and the mess they leave behind, I am in complete agreement, as I responsibly clear up after my own dog and watch others studiously ignoring theirs.
However, on a totally different tack, may I tell you that last week, while on a long walk through my local parkland, I had to carry my dogs 'doos' in my pocket, throughout the whole area there was not one dog bin or even a litter box.
Would the council therefore have the decency to provide enough bins.
Better still, how about putting some traffic wardens in the parks and on the street for a while!
They could frighten the dog owners and fine them and the motorists could have a rest! It's a thought!
