KIDS from Crystal Palace formed the home team when they competed against other under-11s in an annual athletics competition.
The Norwich Union Fun in Athletics Competition, held this year at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, in Crystal Palace Park, focused on unusual sports such as tossing the caber.
The Crystal Palace Partnership's Sports Team chose 13 boys and 13 girls, who it worked with in the regeneration area, to represent the home team, the Regeneration Rockets.
Competing against kids from all over south east England, the team was chosen from the Hip-Hop Athletics session which runs at Lewis Sports Centre, in Maberley Road, Upper Norwood, and from the schools coaching programme.
