COLLECT A TREE: Instead of throwing away your Christmas tree once the festivities are over give a gift to the environment by recycling it. A free service is being offered by Greenwich Council. Call 020 8921 4506 between December 27 and January 4. Your tree will be collected in the week commencing January 7.
NEW RECRUITS: The Greenwich Morris Men are getting down to practising for next season and are looking for new recruits. No experience is necessary and all tuition is free. The group, which performs traditional dances from the Cotswolds, meets every Thursday in Blackheath. For more information call Ged on 020 8857 2528.
SENIOR CITIZENS: A help-line for information and welfare issues of senior citizens is available from the Elder Abuse Response Line (EARL). If you are concerned about an older person or would like confidential advice, support is available from the trained volunteers from 2pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Call EARL on 020 8679 7074.
BIG OPPORTUNITIES: The Forum@Greenwich needs volunteers to help in its reception and office. No previous experience is needed and an induction course will be provided.
