THE anxiety due to the delay in the decision about the Race Court at Fairlop Waters prompts us to point out that the areas of conflict are social and community-based.
Developer Wiggin Teape is concerned with a gigantic showpiece which can only benefit the few. We, on the other hand, claim that other proposals have a lasting social advantage.
They include developing the area as a park and leisure area dotted with restaurants and children's leisure facilities.
We cannot influence Lord Falconer but we can awaken your readership and communities to the advantages mentioned.
Furthermore, the scheme for the future development for Ilford Town Centre, now in its embryonic stage, is interesting and we would like to examine further ideas and plans or engage in a public debate.
