A MAN accused of stabbing two police officers has been remanded in custody until tomorrow (Friday) by Harlow magistrates.

Konrad Vanrell-Brown, 20, from Stoke Newington, north London who appeared in court last Wednesday is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to two officers at the Halfords store on Harlow's Oaks industrial estate on Monday, December 17.

He is also accused of assaulting two other officers and a store worker, driving without a licence or insurance and stealing a car battery.

PC James Ambrozevich, 23, who only recently joined Essex Police and has been based at Harlow for just 15 weeks, and PC Lee Harris, 38, were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Acting Sergeant Andrew Allerton, 33, and PC Dave Dufour, 35, sustained minor non-stab injuries.

Mr Ambrozevich, who suffered wounds to the chest, abdomen and legs, was kept in overnight for observation.

Mr Harris, Mr Dufour and Mr Allerton were allowed home after treatment.
