TEN members of the Orpington Ojays Swimming Club took part in the Speedo Grand Prix, which was held at the University of Bath.
They were Jo Mullins, Matt Perkins, Marie Heseldon, Georgina Redman, Emily Brown, Katie Bowman, Damian Edmunds, Alex Spooner, Hazel Colbourne and Charmaine Brown.
It was a superb Grand Prix with all the elite British swimmers present, including James Hickman, and David Bennett.
Two British records were broken to show how high the standard was.
Ojays swimmers did very well, with most achieving personal bests and some national qualifying times.
The most notable results was Jo Mullins' first place in the 200 metres individual medley, when she beat Olym-pian Kathryn Evans.
Jo also clocked a season's best when fourth in the 100m breaststroke. She also came third in the 50m breaststroke.
Other results: Geor-gina Redman eighth (100m breaststroke); Katie Bowman fourth (200m individual medley) and Emily Brown was third in the 100m butterfly.
Marie Heseldon was second reserve in the 200m indiviudla medley, while Alex Spooner recorded a sub-60 seconds in the 100m freestyle for the first time.
