Toyota Sidcup Basketball Club, sponsored by the town's Japanese car dealers, hosted a tournament involving five teams which is part of an ongoing monthly league.
It runs through until next June and the host club will be buoyant after winning the recent round-robin style fixture.
The whole ethos for the youngsters competing, all aged under 11, is enjoyment and they certainly did that in this event, played at Erith School and Community Sports Hall, in Ramsden Road.
Teams representing Bickley Giants, Eltham College, Bickley Trailblazers and East Kent Crusaders, along with the host club, each played four games and Sidcup ended up by winning all its games, scoring an aggregate 54 points against 24.
