A WOMAN in her 40s and a teenage boy were found stabbed to death at a house in Loughton on Saturday evening, after police were called following reports of a disturbance.
Two other children, both aged under nine, were found by police "safe and well" at a nearby location, a police spokesman said.
Officers were called to Foxley Close, off Etheridge Road, at 10.15pm on Saturday.
Police later cordoned off the area as floral tributes were laid near the house.
A man who suffered serious stab wounds to his chest was arrested and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.
A post mortem revealed that the woman and the 15-year-old boy had died of stab wounds.
The names of the victim had not been released by Monday morning.
