Wimbledon Speedway has issued an open invitation to all former Dons riders to receive VIP treatment on May 2, 2002.
To help celebrate the club's grand re-opening, the Dons management are planning to roll out the red carpet and reward the exploits of all those riders who have worn the famous Dons race jacket over the years.
Co-promoter David Croucher said: "The name of Wimbledon is renowned throughout the speedway world and this will be our way of saying a big thank you to all former Dons stars."
Cyril Maidment a star of the 1950s and 1960s and a former team manager and Ray Morton, who captained the team in 1990 and now rides for the Isle of Wight, have already accepted the invitation.
Riders wishing to attend should write to The Speedway Office, Wimbledon Stadium, Plough Lane, SW17 0BL.
The Dons management are also looking for a keen individual to take over the day-to-day running of the official Dons web-site.
