THE manager of a Bexley social club will have to fork-out £1,700 for loud music and out-of-date food.
Jackie Stone, the bar manager at Crayford Social Club in Crayford Way, Crayford, pleaded guilty at Bexley Magistrates Court to breaking a noise abatement notice and three breaches of food safety regulations.
Despite already having been served with a notice to reduce noise from the club, council officers in Crayford could hear the music from a live band playing at the club, from more than 100m away, on Saturday, September 1.
Several weeks earlier, during a food safety inspection, an officer found food in the fridges of the club's kitchens, which was past its use-by date.
Mrs Stone was fined £350 for the loud music and £500 for the three food offences and ordered to pay £850 costs to Bexley Council.
