A new project run by Orpington College and Age Concern Bromley has blasted elderly residents into cyberspace.
Silver surfers have attended courses based in Hayes, St Mary Cray and St Paul's Cray to improve the quality of life for older people.
Basic computer skills have been taught, often to people with little or no experience of using information technology.
One of the stars of the class, 94-year-old Maggie Halcombe, showed off her new skills in a video-link discussion with staff and students from the CyberSkills Association.
