LONDON Bronco's vital 36-16 victory over Halifax at The Shay on Sunday sees the Brentford based club just one point away from the play-offs.

Still with 12 games to play, seven of which are at Griffin Park, the Broncos have a 'must win' match against old rivals Castleford Tigers this Saturday when children can attend a special Kid's Night for just £1.

Thanks to match day sponsor Benihana Restaurants up to 100 youngsters from Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital will be supporting the capital's only Super League club.

Broncos took on Halifax without captain Jason Hetherington (hamstring), Francis Stephenson (calf), Scott Cram (neck), Richie Barnett (food poisoning) and Wayne Evans (knee), and within the first minute of the second period they suffered another blow, losing Richard Marshall with concussion.

But they led 20-6 at the break thanks to tries from Neil Budworth, Steve Hall and Sylvain Houles plus two penalties and two conversions from Tony Martin.

Halifax reduced the arrears to four points, but further Broncos tries came from Hall, substitute Gareth Price, on loan from Leigh and Nigel Roy, with Martin kicking a fantastic conversion.

Tickets for this Saturday's game can be pre-booked on 020 8853 8800, with a £2 discount on all adult tickets which are bought in advance through the ticket line. The kick-off is 6.05 p.m., but entertainment will be in full swing at 5.30 p.m.

The Broncos are currently one point behind Widnes, who are occupying the sixth and final play off spot.
