THE Ryman League's insistence that Kingstonian agree a settlement with every single person to whom a debt is due caused a meeting of creditors to be adjourned this week, but the League say the matter can be resolved (writes TONY FLOOD).

It will probably mean that it will cost Kingstonian's joint owner Rajesh Khosla up to £100,000 to prevent the club losing their place in the League or going into liquidation.

This would be a big increase on the £70,000 provisionally agreed with those creditors to whom Ks owe 76 per cent of the debt. That percentage is covered by what Ks owe Barclays Bank and the Inland Revenue and would satisfy the insolvency law, but does not meet the Ryman's requirements.

Administrator Nick Hood, who warned last week of the risk of liquidation, says: "We adjourned the creditors meeting on Monday and are in talks with the Ryman League."

Ryman League secretary Nick Robinson commented: "I think we can resolve the matter to everyone's satisfaction before the creditors' meeting is held on July 15th.

It is likely the League will compromise if Ks reach a settlement with all football-related creditors. And it appears that Mr. Khosla would agree to pay them so much in the pound, although all he would say this week was: "I am waiting for the administrator and the Ryman League to come back to me and hope that everything works out."

While Ks could be forced to drop out of the League or go into liquidation if the matter is not resolved, it now seems likely an agreement will be reached. That would enable a Company Voluntary Arrangement to be accepted by creditors.

Meanwhile, Kingstonian will be sharing their ground next season with AFC Wimbledon, who have been formed by the Dons Trust and the original club's Independent Supporters Association. The new club was refused membership by the Ryman League, but have been accepted into the Combined Counties League.

AFC Wimbledon play their first ever game away to Sutton at Gander Green Lane on Wednesday (7.30 p.m.)

Kingstonian have announced that their season tickets are being priced at £145 (terrace) and £190 (seat) for adults or £95 (terrace) and £150 (seat) for students or OAPs. If purchased before

Wednesday July 10th there will be a discount of £20 for adults or £10 for students/OAPs. With the increase to 23 home Ryman Premier League matches this season, this represents good value for money to watch Steve Sedgley's first full season in charge.

For £25, under 16s can join the successful Junior K's scheme for the entire season. This entitles members to free entry to all home Ryman Premier League matches, all home reserve team matches, an opportunity to become a

Matchday Mascot, a newsletter and a 10% discount at the club shop.

More information and application forms can be obtained from the club on 020 8547 3335 or from Kingstonian's web site (www.kingstonian.net).
