TWICKENHAM'S dismal league form hit new depths as Highgate beat them by eight wickets on a superb wicket at Twickenham Green after shooting the home side out for a woeful 137.

Highgate unusually opened with left arm spinner Karrar and he claimed his second seven-wicket haul in successive weeks. He started by removing makeshift opener JP Cronje for 4 and Ally Vokes for 22.

Antonio Mullins made 34, but the middle order again wilted under pressure. Although Richard Hopkinson (15) and Phil Parker (25) resisted the innings crumbled.

Highgate's experienced batsman Skates showed Twickenham how to pace and innings, coping comfortably with the pace of Mullins and Justin Scriven in his 51 n.o.

When Bangladeshi pro Rahan came in at No. 3, 52 were already on the board, and he preceded to show some of the best strokeplay seen on the Green for a long time in his 37. So in the end Highgate cantered home for the loss of two wickets.

Twickenham 2nd XI held on for a draw at 147-7 after Highgate 2nds slammed 300-7. The 3rd XI suffered their first defeat of the season against Richmond. Batting first, Richmond amassed 240-6 and T's fell short on 213 all out. Dale Fabian's 4th XI fell to Edmonton.
