RICHMOND batsmen Kevin Barratt and Stephen Price both hit fine centuries on Saturday, but Ealing still won by five wickets in a high-scoring match.
Although Richmond remain second in the Middlesex County League, they are now 41 points behind leaders Teddington, who have won all eight of their games.
After David Young had been trapped LBW for 19, Barratt (110) and Price (100 n.o.) put on 219 for the second wicket to enable Richmond to make 262-2 in 60 overs.
Ealing's batsmen set about their task with relish and opener Arif Rashid became the game's third century maker with 107.
The Richmond bowling was disappointing, with the exception of Graham Lines, whose 23 overs brought him 3 for 66, including the prize scalp of Rashid, but he could not prevent Ealing reaching 263-5 off 58 overs.
Richmond 262-2 (Barratt 110, Price 100 n.o.)
Ealing 263-5 (Rashid 107, Rao 29, Hoyle 41 n.o., Lotter 24 n.o.; Lines 3-66)
This Saturday Richmond are away to Wembley in the league (11.30 a.m.), and on Sunday are at home to Twickenham in the Federation of Middlesex Sports Clubs Cup (1.30 p.m.).
