Early risers will have the chance to see the Queen's Jubilee baton relay come to Lambeth next Saturday, July 13, as it continues on its journey to the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
Lambeth Mayor June Fewtrell will be on hand to send off the Lambeth runner at the junction of Ambleside Avenue and Mitcham Lane, Streatham, at about 8.15am.
The relay is the traditional curtain-raiser to the games, and has taken in 23 Commonwealth countries before reaching the UK. Runners will enter Lambeth at Westow Hill just before 8am, and carry the baton along Central Hill, Crown Dale and Streatham Common North to Streatham High Road and Ambleside Avenue.
